So on saturday we set off to the HDKI national championships with Shaun, Evie, Yingtai and Elif. They took part in kata ,team kata and kumite. It took alot to step onto the tatami in the first place and for some it was their first competition. My thoughts were that win ,lose or draw didn't matter, just doing your best was everything.They all did really well though and had some much more senior and larger opponents to contend with .I'm please to say that:-
Shaun took Bronze in kumite
Evie took a Bronze in kata and a Silver in kumite.
Elif took Silver in kata and a Bronze in kumite
Yingtai took a Bronze in kumite.
